Hello Troop 349 Family!
Tomorrow we will be returning from Yawgoog on the ferry departing New London at 1:00pm and arriving at Orient Point at approximately 2:20pm.
When we arrive the trailer will pull off the ferry and move to the large open grassy area behind the snack shop where we met last weekend. It’s way in the back.
Please make sure you don’t leave with just your bags! We will have hats and Troop Photographs to hand out.
Sad camp is over, but looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!!
Please check the Troop 349 Facebook Page for questions and answers.

Hello Troop 349!
Just some last minute reminders for Yawgoog….
-Please plan to be at the Orient Point Ferry by 8:30. We are under the direction of the ferry company for boarding and we want to make sure we have plenty of time to get organized and to take our traditional troop photo. -There will be pizza lunch at Yawgoog. No need to pack a lunch, maybe a small/light snack. -If you are in Mr. Campisi’s Personal Fitness merit badge class please remember to bring your workbook and your progress chart. -If you signed up for Climbing or thinking you may possibly join the class after you get there you will need pants and closed toe shoes to participate.
Thanks again to all the Scouts and Parents for a smooth and efficient drop off at the trailer this morning.
See you tomorrow at the ferry!

Today we will be loading the trailer and having uniform inspection from 10 AM – 12 noon. Scouts need to get their packed bag and sleeping bag to Mr. Rubesh’s Office at 112 Terry Road Smithtown where we will be set up outside in the parking lot.
◦ Please have your Class A Uniform on a hanger and available for inspection.
◦ If you signed up for merit badges with pre-requisites, please have any pre-requisites for your merit badges completed and your merit badge workbook available for sign off. Prerequisites and homework can be found here: ◦ Medicines We will collect medications for scouts. All medication also needs to be dropped off at the same time. All medication should be kept in a gallon size zip lock bag and be kept in its original bottle/packaging and with the dispensing instructions.
◦ Allergies Please let us know about any allergies
◦ Spending money
1. We have a bank within our troop to hold the boys spending money. We ask you please give us small bills (i.e. – 5 or 10 ) to make it easier for all. Adult leaders in camp will be distributing cash to Scouts
2. We recommend that the Scouts take the advantage of this for a couple of reasons; one could lose the money in the tent in all the shuffle during the week, and also the Scout could be kept on budget spending per day.
3. If you want your son to spend $5 per day, the adult leaders will give not more than $5 for the day, exception being if he has not spent earlier day $. Any leftover money on the last day in camp will be given back to the Scout before pack up. With this said – if you want your son to spend no more than $5 a day, we want six (Sunday to Friday) $5 bills. Adults cannot get change for your son at campsite. If you want your son to buy something extra like a pocketknife on his special day – please let us know. Spending money should be given to the adult leaders when we pack up on July 6
4. First year parents – please add extra money for Leather Work ~$20 or Woodwork Merit Badge ~$10
We are looking forward to seeing everyone later!!
