We had a great time yesterday before the wind and rain washed out camp. It’s times like this that remind us how fortunate we are when the weather cooperates, when we have smooth transportation, when we didn’t forget to pack something important, and when everything goes right.
But more importantly, we are thankful for all the Scouts and Parents who helped out last night when we abruptly ended the campout. Thank you to everyone who took home tents and will air them out today. A few parents reached out already- bring what you have to the next scout meeting and we will try to get all the missing pieces back together and figure out what, if anything, needs to be replaced.
We will be onto our next adventure October 5-6 at Harriman State Park. Sign up to come out this week! rmd.me/1355BvBZe2x

Hello Troop 349 Parents,
We tried our best, but we need to call off the campout. We had heavy rains and high winds and the campers bags and belongings are soaked. We are worried about the next band and the band due to come through around 10/11pm and with the temperatures dropping overnight it will be dangerous to continue.
Please come to short beach to pick up your scout. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Weisberg or Mr. Wichtendahl.
Thank you for your understanding. The safety of the scouts in out top priority.
