Tomorrow the Troop will install a collection box at Parish of the Holy Cross Church in Nesconset. We will be there from 9am-11am and while we are there we will be assisting Cub Scout Pack 57 with clean up around the church property. This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours for rank advancements or honor society.

There was a lot of information shared at the troop meeting last night, so I thought I would share it again here….
Saturday the Troop will install a collection box at Parish of the Holy Cross Church in Nesconset. Wednesday is Fall Court of Honor at 7:30pm in the Little Theater at Smithtown High School East. Scouts to assemble in Class A uniform before the meeting to help set up. Keep an eye out for a sign up genius for refreshments.
Next weekend is Webelos Woods at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp. We will meet at U-Haul on Bellemeade Avenue in Smithtown on Friday November 7 at 5:30pm and then head out to camp. A Scout is Flexible! There was a scheduling mixup but it is all worked out now. We are in the NEW GYM at 7:30.
When you get here we will be inside the gym lobby entrance waiting for the group to end in the New Gym at 7:30.

Many of the Scouts expressed excitement for Webelos Woods at the past two meetings, please make sure to sign up your Scouts!
The Troop is participating in Webelos Woods at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, November 7-9. This weekend is where we make our biggest impact on Webelos to join our troop later this school year. The Scouts will teach them a skill, play games in the afternoon, and have some campfire fun at night.
Packing:
Pack Class A uniforms for Saturday and wear Class B uniforms at other times. This is a 2 night tent campout. Wear warm layers for the weekend. Bring your sleeping bag, sleeping pad, headlamp, pocket knife and other typical campout equipment. Everyone should have a mess kit for dining. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday. The troop will be preparing breakfast Saturday/Sunday and dinner on Saturday. Please remember to bring a refillable water bottle.
Transportation:
We will meet at U-Haul on Bellemeade Avenue in Smithtown on Friday November 7 at 5:30pm. Parents will pick up their Scout in Smithtown on Sunday morning around 9:30.

Good Morning, Troop 349! My Eagle Scout Car Wash Fundraiser is today at Mr. Rubesh’s office located at 112 Terry Road, Smithtown (next to Maureen’s Kitchen).
My project is to replace a bridge along the Greenbelt Trail in Smithtown. We will also do a trail clean up in the area along the trail and around the bridge.

Good evening Glen Gray campers!
The troop will depart U-Haul on Bellemeade Avenue, Smithtown at tomorrow approximately 7:30am and will return to Smithtown on Sunday, October 19 at approximately 12:00 pm. Please arrive no later than 7:15.
Bring a bag lunch for Saturday, snacks, your mess kit and a refillable water bottle, sleeping bag and sleeping pad.
Weather at camp tomorrow will be similar to the weather we experienced today, cool and breezy. Plan to dress in layers as we will warm up for the hike and cool down in the evening. Remember a change of clothes for Sunday.
Weekend activities will include:
-Hiking
-Patrol Cooking
-Catch and Release Fishing (please bring your fishing pole and tackle)

Hello Troop 349! @everyone
Last night at the Troop Meeting we handed out the flyer for the Troop Holiday Wreath Fundraiser.
All Scouts will earn $5 in their Scout Account for every $50 sold. In addition, the Scout with the highest sales will receive a discount for the Whitewater Rafting Trip in June!
Last year, the Troop was able to offset the Troop Fees for Yawgoog due to the great fundraising efforts by the Scouts (parents only had to pay the Camp Fees). It would be great to see a repeat again this year!
Thank you to Mr. Bodor and Mrs. Ramchand for helping set up the Troop Fundraiser. All orders are due at the November 12 Troop Meeting. Orders will be available for pick up on Sunday November 30.
