This Cabin Camp-out will take place from February 27 to February 28th 2016 at Camp Blue Bay in East Hampton NY.
The cost is $25 per person. Please pay for this trip at the next troop meeting.

The Troop and the Crew are looking into purchasing Beanie Cap for the troop. The hat would have the same logo that is on the Class B T-Shirt To order, the troop and crew would need to purchase a minimum of 48 caps. The cost would be about $10.

Troop 349 and friends,

The troop will meet in the parking lot behind James Crest Florist, Main Street Smithtown, at 7:45am. Drivers are needed to carpool to camp.

Please wear appropriate clothing in layers. Hats, Coats and especially proper footwear.
You will need a Nalgene water bottle or equavilent for the day. Remember to Hydrate!
Also, those doing the orienteering course will need a compass.
We will start cooking at !0:00am, Lunch (home made corn chowder)will be served around 12:00, Dinner will be served 3:30 ish. Evening activities end 8:00pm

Overnight Campers; you will need a sleeping bag, pillow, flash light, scout book.

We will return Sunday approximately 10-11am.

When you enter the camp property ( and see the parking lot on the left) turn right and travel the paved road to HAYDEN HALL
There is an old Railroad caboose in front of the dining hall where we are camping. Parking is available near the hall.

From Smithtown Rt347 & 25A
Travel east on route 347, after Port Jefferson Rt. 25A merges with Rt. 347
Continue east on 25A to Wading River ( next town past the intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Rt. 25A)
At Wading River – Manor Road make a right ( Traffic light, McDonalds on Right)
Travel about ½ mile camp entrance is on left.

From the LIE:
Directions to Schiff Scout Reservation, Wading River, NY
Get on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) eastbound to Exit 69.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn left (north) on Wading River – Manor Road and go 5 miles.
You will cross NY 25 and continue North.
Look for camp entrance on the right (just past a trailer park on the right and about 1/8 of a mile
past a large white church on the left)..

Hi Troop 349! –

Thank you to those who have signed up already!  Just a few more days to sign up for the White House tour.   The deadline for the White House portion is Friday, November 20 because it takes time to do the background checks.  Here is the link to sign up.

Donna Conte or Veronica Bencivenga will be sending out itinerary updates as we get closer (thank you both!).  This should be a great trip!!

Hello Troop 349,

We are in the process of registering our Troop and our scouts for the coming year.  After much discussion, the troop committee set the annual dues once again at $100 per scout, and $90 for each additional brother in the troop.

Please Submit a your dues, checks made payable to BSA Troop 349, by the November 18^th meeting so that we can meet the Suffolk Council deadlines.

If you need to discuss this, please see me at any meeting or contact me using the information below.  I’d be happy to take the time and discuss it with you.
