Good Afternoon Troop 349, Just to keep everyone in the loop, I was just on the phone with NYS Contact tracing. I gave them contact information for everyone who was in attendance at our Wednesday 3/10, meeting. You should be receiving a call today or tomorrow from them. Contact Tracing will explain it to everyone when they call but… Quarantine is to last 10 days from the exposure, which was 3/10. So 3/20 we should be cleared. …again, as long as no one else develops symptoms or tests positive before then. Please take care and we’ll get through this together.

As per the Suffolk DOH guidelines: Being the boys are in a “group” it would be near impossible to identify who exactly was within 6′ of the covid+ case for 10 min collective, so, all the boys should quarantine. One can test, 5 days after exposure (Sun) BUT a negative test DOESN’T shorten quarantine. Also, Contact Tracing ‘should’ be calling everyone that was in attendance, within 48 hrs. I’m told it’ll most likely be from a blocked or unknown number. I apologize for all of the sudden inconveniences this has created however our scouts safety IS and will ALWAYS be my primary concern.

All We have just been informed that one individual who attended the Scout meeting on Wednesday has been tested positive for COVID today. With CDC guidelines, it is recommended that those who have attended the meeting be in quarantine for next 10 days. There is a possibility that you maybe also contacted by NYS Contact Tracing.
