Our annual Whitewater Rafting Campout will take place from June 7-8, 2025 in Lehigh River Gorge, PA. This will be a tent campout.
Saturday activities include a 3-4 hour rafting trip on the Lehigh River, and camp set up, Patrol Cooking and Campfire Activities.
The cost is $135 per Scout and $115 per adult driver. Please pay for this trip at an upcoming troop meeting or Venmo Mrs. Weisberg @BSA349Smithtown (use code 3721)

Hello 349! Our troop sponsor; Smithtown Rotary is running a day of service event, partnering with Smaller Smithtown Opioid Task Force’s awareness day. Hello Troop 349!
We have been watching the weather intently and we always want to avoid cancelling activies. However, the weather will just not cooperate tonight. Severe weather is predicted this evening with a flood watch in effect.
So, let’s plan on meeting tomorrow morning at 9:00am at Parkview Riding Center, 989 Connetquot Ave, Central Islip We will have muffins and fruit and juices before we start training and riding at 10:00am sharp. Activities should be over by 1:00pm.
Pack a day bag for tomorrow: -Refillable water bottle -It will be sunny tomorrow afrer the rain moves out so consider a hat and sunscreen -Bug and tick spray -Snack for along the way
I think this is the best we can do under the circumstances. Please keep an eye out for additional messages as we continue to watch the weather.

Good Morning Troop 349!
This week the Troop meeting is at an alternate location on an alternate day. The meeting will be Tuesday at Paws of War located at 127 Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset.
Scouts will learn about Veterans who have proudly served our Country and learn how Paws of War supports Veterans and First Responders.

Hello Troop 349! @everyone
If you plan on attending the Horseback Riding Campout at Connetquot State Park May 9-10 please sign up by Sunday. We need to submit a headcount to Parkview Riding Center so they can plan how to staff our visit.
Scout drop off will be Friday at 6:00pm at Parkview Riding Center and we will set up camp and have activities in the evening.
Please pack for an overnight campout including a sleeping bag, foam camping pad, and a change of clothes for Sunday. Keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately.
Bring a refillable water bottle and snacks for Saturday. Breakfast will be served to the scouts.
Siblings and Parents can meet us Saturday morning at 9:00am. The day should end around 1:30. Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the Horsemanship Merit Badge!
