Summer Camp News
Troop,
May is here and summer camp is just 10 weeks away. Here is a link to sign up for camp Due to some new camp requirements, The troop has less than 8 weeks to get our final payment, final counts, and preliminary paperwork to Yawgoog. Camp & transportation fees total $450.00 per scout.
To this end I have to adopt the following schedule:
Reservation payment due to the Troop May 6 meeting – $100.00
Mid term payment due to the Troop June 3rd meeting – $250.00
Scout account to be applied to account after June 3rd meeting Notifications to parents by June 24
Final payment must be received by July 1st. mail to me or drop off to my mail box. ~ $100.00
(Brother discount -$40 will be applied to final payment)
Medical forms – As soon as possible or due June 3rd Meeting
Special Diet request form (will be sent at end of May along with 2015 menu) – due back June 10th

Troop Events for April May June and Beyond

April Camporee sign up –
April Friday night April 24 to Sunday April 26th. Baiting Hollow Scout Camp. $30 per person. Funds will be collected at Troop meetings.
May 13 Meeting @ LI Ducks – sold out
The Troop will attend a LI Ducks game on Wednesday Evening May 13th, 2015. The price is $10 per person. Family members welcome. However, We are Limited to 120 tickets. Scouts first, all others are first come first served. Funds will be collected at Troop Meetings.

Saturday’s Day Trip Details
Troop 349,
Details about Saturday’s Snow Tubing trip:
Meet at lot behind James Crest Florist off Main street by 6:30 am
This is a day trip, I expect us to return to Smithtown around 7:00 – 7:30pm
Dress for a day outdoors in the cold. Snow pants, heavy jackets, hats, gloves, boots recommended. Dress in layers.
There is a lodge with a Cafe. A scout is thrifty, you might want to pack a bag lunch.
I expect we will stop at one of the road side rest stops for a quick dinner, I recommend $10 for this fast food stop.
We will be going to Powder Ridge Ski, Board, and tube Resort, Middlefield, CT.
