Space is Limited! – Winter Camp 2017 – February 20-24, 2017
Safety / Emergency Preparedness is our theme!Winter Camp 2017 will have a Safety / Emergency Preparedness theme. The Merit Badges being offered are all related to the theme. First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, Traffic Safety, Search and Rescue, Safety, Fire Safety and Public Health will all be offered at Winter Camp.
In addition to merit badge classes, we will have presentations and activities related to the theme. The Fire Department, Police Department, Sheriff’s K-9 unit, Department of Health, PSE&G Long Island and the Search and Rescue group are all scheduled to visit us during the week. Topics include electrical safety, Fire prevention, Public Health, and First Aid. The week will end with a camp-wide Search and rescue drill that will challenge all of our Scouts.
Scouts will sleep in heated cabins. All meals will be prepared and served in the Dining Hall. The Trading Post will be stocked with snacks, merit badge books, Scouting items and camp souvenirs.

Scout Sunday/Scout Sabbath
Hello all
The 12th point of the Scout Law is a scout is reverent. This weekend is the 107th anniversary of Scouting. To celebrate this anniversary places of worship throughout the US have services to honor & acknowledge this anniversary. Two local services are at Temple Beth Chai at 870 Townline Rd, Hauppauge & Holy Cross RC Church at 95 Nichols Rd.
Please “do your best” to attend one of these next weekend. Contact the people below if you can attend.

This weekend camping
Hello all
We still have 6 spaces available. If you would like to join us please let me know ASAP.
We will be meeting at James Cress tomorrow 1/28 at 7 am.
Bring a bag lunch, nalgene bottles, and your mess kit. Please dress for cold weather. Bring layers of clothing and extra clothing in case. Gloves, socks, extra shoes. Hiking boots will be warmer than sneakers.
Pick up on Sunday around 11:30 am.
