Campout at Camp Hero – October 22nd – 23rd 2016

This tent camp out will take place the October 22th weekend at Camp Hero in Montauk, NY. Activities planned for this camp out include: Guided tour of USCG Station Montauk Walk around Montauk Light House Patrol Cooking The cost is $25 per person. Please pay for this trip at the next troop meeting. Sign-up closes on Wednesday, October 19th. Expected departure time from the James Cress parking lot is no later than 7 am on Saturday. Camp Hero is a dry camp, so all Scouts must bring enough water for the two days. More details shall be provided at upcoming Troop meetings.

Merit Badge Program | Suffolk County Council

Catholic Religious Counselor Emblem Training 10-13-2016 | Suffolk County Council

For those of you who are interested, Suffolk County Council posted on their website that the Suffolk County Catholic Committee on Scouting is offering Religious Emblem Training on Thursday October 13th.  Please see the link below:

Suffolk County Council, BSA provides a comprehensive values-based program that develops character, teaches citizenship, and encourages personal fitness to more than 13,000 youth each year. The Council was chartered on April 6, 1919 to instill values and expand the Scouting movement in Suffolk County.

2016 Chistmas Wreath Fundraiser is Here!

Our annual Wreath Fundraising Sale has begun. This is a great way to earn money for the troop and for your Scout Account! The money earned to your scout account can be applied to the cost of campouts such as Yawgoog.

ORDER MUST BE IN BY: WED. NOVEMBER 16, 2016

– It is important to adhere to the date so we can get our items in time for the Holidays.
– NO orders will be accepted after this date
– The attached order for is for your general use to keep track of your customers
– Keep the order form at home in a safe place
PUT the total of the orders on this form and return to KELLY NAGOSKY by November 16.
Collect $$$ from your customers when the order is placed. All checks are to be made payable to BSA Troop 349.

Baiting Hollow – Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience

Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience

Project COPE at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp incorporates a series of fun outdoor challenges in a group setting emphasizing the following goals: Communication, Planning, Teamwork, Trust, Leadership, Decision Making, Problem Solving and Self Esteem.

Saturday, October 1st, 2016 from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

(Rain date: Sunday, October 2nd, 2016.)

The fee is $50 per scout. Register for COPE Day Now!

Registration is limited to 24 scouts. Minimum age 13. All Participants are required to wear long pants (jeans prefered) and bring a completed BSA medical form (Parts A&B) and a release form with them. Any participant who does not have the medical form and release will not be able to participate.

Sept 2016 Canoe Campout Sept 10th – 11th

On Saturday, September 10th, the troop will meet at the Paul T. Given County Park and then canoe up the Nissequogue River. After arriving at Short Beach, the troop will camp overnight at Short Beach Town Park. Parents should plan to pick up their scouts on Sunday, September 11th at Short Beach. The troop will provide more details in the future.

Please complete this form if you plan to attend the Nissequogue River Canoe trip and camp out.
The cost per person is $20. Money will be collected at an upcoming meeting.
