We will be meeting at Paul T Given Park in Smithtown (25A down by the bull) at 7:30 Sat morning.
Please have your bathing suit, class B shirt, water shoes, & nalgene. Your bag lunch, change of clothes, towel, & camping gear will be put in the trailer and brought up to the beach. Please put on suntan lotion before getting into the canoe. Troop will be providing dinner & muffins for breakfast.
Scouts should be picked up at Short Beach Sunday morning at 9am.

| Oct 2019 Camp-out: North-South Lake
|
|
| This camp-out will take place during the October 19th weekend in the Catskill Forest Preserve near Palenville, New York.
North-South Lake is the biggest and most popular state campground in the Catskill Forest Preserve, offering extraordinary scenic beauty. Several lakes are located within the campground. The surrounding mountains contain numerous hiking trails, which lead to spectacular overlooks, waterfalls, and historic sights, like Alligator Rock, Kaaterskill Falls, and the former site of the Catskill Mountain House. On a clear day, five states are visible from some overlooks
CAMPERS SHOULD DRESS WITH APPROPRIATE LAYERS FOR THE WEATHER, & HIKING BOOTS.
The cost is $35 per person. Please pay for this trip at an upcoming troop meeting.
Expected departure time from the James Cress parking lot is no later than 7 am on Saturday, Oct 19th.
More details shall be provided at upcoming Troop meetings. |

We will also be taking last minute sign ups & collecting money for the canoe trip campout down the Nissequogue River on Sept 10-11.
Labor day Sept 5 we will be putting flags out on Main St Smithtown. Please meet at the U Haul storage facility at 8am to put them out & 5 pm to retrieve them.

On Saturday, September 7th, Troop 349 will meet at the Paul T. Given County Park at 7 am and then canoe up the Nissequogue River. The troop will camp overnight at Short Beach Town Park.
