A few reminders for our meeting tonight:
Pie sale orders and money is due tonight. Mrs. Sanders will be on with us this evening to collect your orders.
We are preparing for our next Court of Honor and Mr. Mayer will be with us to collect any blue cards and rank advancements you earned since the last Court of Honor. Please remember to bring your blue cards and scout books if you have advancements to record.
Also, please remember we are still collecting 2025 dues. You can bring your Dues payments to Mrs. Weisberg tonight or send via Venmo to @BSA349Smithtown.

Here is some information about upcoming events and important dates.
All upcoming meetings through the end of year will *mostly* continue at Smithtown HS East, 7:30-9pm in the Commons Cafeteria. On Wednesday Oct 23rd we will be in the Main Cafeteria. Pie Sales Due October 16 All orders and payments will be collected at the October 16th meeting. We will also be kicking off the wreath fundraiser that week as well. If you are unable to attend this meeting please make alternate arrangements to drop off your pie orders and payments.
Webelos Woods Campout — November 1-3, Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, Calverton, NY. This is our premiere recruiting event. Scouts from all over the county will preview our troop so let’s have a good showing! All scouts are invited to this 2-night tent campout to teach skills and games to Webelos. This is a great opportunity to collect camping nights “under the stars” to meet the requirements of the Camping Merit Badge. Troop Court Of Honor – November 6, Smithtown HS East in the Little Theater, 7:30-9pm. Come celebrate the advancements and achievements of our scouts. All parents are expected to attend. All blue cards for completed merit badges and all rank advancements are due by Wednesday, October 23 to obtain their recognition at this Court of Honor. Mr. Mayer will be on hand for the next few Wednesday meetings so please make sure to meet with him to update your Rank Advancements and submit your blue cards. Please bring a snack or drink to share after our ceremony at a short reception in the Commons Cafeteria.
Turkeyfest Dinner and Campout — November 23-24, Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, Calverton, NY, $15 per person for dinner, $15 per person for camping. Hello Troop 349 Harriman Campers!
Tomorrow morning we are meeting at 7:30am at the Municipal Parking Lot on Bellmeade Avenue in Smithtown for the Harriman State Park Campout.
Please remember to bring a bag lunch for the hike on Saturday and a refillable water bottle. The day is forecasted to be nice but the temperature will drop after the sun goes down so please make sure to dress in layers. Don’t forget your sleeping bag and make sure you bring comfortable shoes for the hike!

It is that time of year again, we are collecting dues in anticipation of our annual re-charter for 2025. The dues collected for 2025 will be $300. Sibling Scouts are $290 each.

Hi, my name is James Wichtendahl and I am doing a conservation project on Thursday, October 3rd.
The Town of Smithtown Fire Marshals asked me to help clean the monument dedicated to Edward Mankuski who died in the Line of Duty in February 1974. There will be a re-dedication ceremony on Saturday and they want the monument at the fire training facility to look it’s best.
Please come to the Fire Training Facility located at 420 Middle Country Road (behind the Senior Citizen Center) at 10am on Thursday, October 3rd. Please bring rakes, shovels, gloves and scout spirit. We will be cleaning the plaque, removing grass, planting new plants, spreading mulch and cleaning up the area.
