Please remember to bring your 2025 Dues Payment to Mrs. Weisberg if you have not already paid. Conversely, you can also pay through the troop Venmo. This is very important that you submit your payment as we are trying to finalize our 2025 Charter update that is coming due.

Hello Troop 349!
This weekend we will be attending Webelos Woods at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp!
Packing:
Pack Class A uniforms for Saturday, and wear class B uniforms at other times. This is a 2 night tent campout. Wear warm layers for the weekend. Bring your sleeping bag, sleeping pad, headlamp, pocket knife and other typical campout equipment.
Meals:
Everyone should have a mess kit for dining. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday. Make sure you bring your refillable water bottle! The troop will be preparing breakfast Saturday/Sunday and dinner on Saturday.
Transportation:
We will meet in the U-Haul Parking Lot on Bellemeade Avenue in Smithtown on Friday at 5:30pm. Parents will pick up their Scout in Smithtown on Sunday morning around 10:00. We will send out a Remind with our ETA when we leave on Sunday.

I hope you are ready for a great weekend! Here are some reminders and announcements:
Tomorrow Lucas Cotsalas is having his Car Wash Fundraiser 9am to 2pm at Smithtown Methodist Church located at 230 Middle Country Road in Smithtown. Please bring dirty cars, sunshine, and Scout Spirit!
I will have new Wreath Fundraiser Flyers with me at the Car Wash! Apologies for the poor quality copies handed out at the meeting on Wednesday. My new printer arrived today and the new copies are in color and look great!
On Sunday there will be a Memorial Mass for Branden Kelledy at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 45 Church Street in Ronkonkoma. Branden meant so much to everyone he met and helped through Scouting and this is a great way to show his family how much he meant to us. Please meet at the church at 9:45am in Class A uniform.

This is our premiere recruiting event. We cannot emphasize how important it is to have a big turnout for this campout. Webelos from the surrounding Packs will preview our Troop so let’s have a good showing! All scouts are invited to this 2-night tent campout to teach skills and games to Webelos. This is a great opportunity to collect camping nights “under the stars” to meet the requirements of the Camping Merit Badge. We are preparing for our next Court of Honor and Mr. Mayer will be with us to collect any blue cards and rank advancements you earned since the last Court of Honor. Please remember to bring your blue cards and scout books if you have advancements to record.

All upcoming meetings through the end of year will *mostly* continue at Smithtown HS East, 7:30-9pm in the Commons Cafeteria. On Wednesday Oct 23rd we will be in the Main Cafeteria. Pie Sales Due October 16 All orders and payments will be collected at the October 16th meeting. We will also be kicking off the wreath fundraiser that week as well. If you are unable to attend this meeting please make alternate arrangements to drop off your pie orders and payments.

Troop Court Of Honor – November 6, Smithtown HS East in the Little Theater, 7:30-9pm. Come celebrate the advancements and achievements of our scouts. All parents are expected to attend. All blue cards for completed merit badges and all rank advancements are due by Wednesday, October 23 to obtain their recognition at this Court of Honor. Mr. Mayer will be on hand for the next few Wednesday meetings so please make sure to meet with him to update your Rank Advancements and submit your blue cards. Please bring a snack or drink to share after our ceremony at a short reception in the Commons Cafeteria.
Turkeyfest Dinner and Campout — November 23-24, Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, Calverton, NY, $15 per person for dinner, $15 per person for camping.
