Hello Troop 349! @everyone
On Friday, May 9th, the troop will be camping at Parkview Riding Center at Connetquot State Park. We will camp overnight on Friday and on Saturday the scouts will learn all about horses and caring for horses, learn about safety when handling and caring for horses, and learn about riding and horsemanship. There will also be horseback riding on the trails in the State Park. Scouts will be able to earn the Horsemanship merit badge on this campout.
Overnight Campers will meet at Parkview Riding Center located at 989 Connetquot Ave in Central Islip at 6:00PM where we will set up camp for the night. Pack a snack for the evening and a bag lunch for Saturday. The troop will provide breakfast for everyone Saturday morning.
Please use the link to sign up as soon as possible. The Riding Center needs to coordinate the number of horses and trainers to help assist us and they are asking the troop to get a headcount.

A Scout is Reverent……Saturday night Troop 349 will be assisting Parish of the Holy Cross Church with the Easter Vigil fire. Please plan on meeting at 7:00pm in Class A uniform and all Cub Scout and Girl Scout siblings are welcome to join us.

You should have received an email from me with your log in to pay Yawgoog Scout Camp for the registration fees, sign up your Scout in merit badge classes, and apply for Campership (Camp Scholarships for those in need) if you decide to apply for one.
You should also receive an email from CampDocs so you can upload your BSA medical forms and complete the medical information required by Yawgoog.
If you are on this list and did not receive one or both of these emails check your spam/junk folders. If they aren’t there, please reach out to me.
If you didn’t sign up yet, no worries – we still have plenty of time. But don’t wait too long, there are some cool specialty programs this year like Robotics, Aviation, ATV, Golf, Ice Skating, that are limited in class size and scouts will be signed up through a lottery system. Assignments to those programs will be confirmed in May.

With the rain forecasted tomorrow the Nesconset Athletic Association parade is cancelled as is our Honor Guard for the parade.
Michael Neglia’s Eagle Scout Fundraiser Car Wash is rescheduled to Sunday April 13 from 10am to 1pm at the Nesconset Fire Department located at 25 Gibbs Pond Road in Nesconset.
The forecast is a possibility of a drizzle in the morning and Michael is hopeful the possibility is low, and the drizzle will go elsewhere.
Please make sure you bring dirty cars and Scout Spirit!

Hello Troop 349!
We are ready to start the registration process for our annual pilgrimage to Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Rockville, RI!
And, we have some really good news! Our Troop 349 Scouts did such a great job this year with fundraising that we are able to waive the $235 troop fees this year. This is especially good news since Yawgoog raised their summer camp fee for 2025 to $625. Waiving the troop fees highlights the good work the Scouts have done and the importance of rewarding good work.
Next Steps: Please sign up your Scout using [this link]( rmd.me/W5.PWmWk4qN) and submit your email address for me to send you a Scout specific registration code. If you registered your Scout last year, please use the email address you used previously as the application will recall your information from previous years.
I will then send you an email with a QR code you will use to log into the application to pay Yawgoog Scout Camp, register your Scout in merit badge classes, and can apply for Campership if you decide to apply for one. I will also include some additional information to help you and your scout with merit badge selection and learn about the new specialty badges this year.
