Hello Troop 349!
The sign up for the Washington DC trip is starting to fill up, but we still have plenty of room. Please make sure you sign up to reserve your spot on the bus! We need to get a head count by April 1st so please sign up as soon as possible. Sign up link will be in the comments.
Also, Mr. Cossi arranged a group discount at a Hilton Garden Inn close to the Scout camp the Scouts and Registered Adults will be staying at. Please remember to make your reservations if parents and siblings are joing the trip too!
Troop 349 Washington D.C. Trip
April 26-27, 2025

Come join us in Washington D.C. for some fun and learning! Current planned itinerary includes:
• National Mall Tour
• Lincoln Memorial
• World War II Memorial
• Washington Monument
• National Museum of American History
• Arlington National Cemetery
• Pre-arranged lunch as a group on Sunday
Transportation
We will be renting a bus that can take up to 56 total leaving the Municipal Parking Lot on Bellmeade Ave (across from U-Haul) 6 AM Saturday, April 26. We plan to leave Washington DC ~2:00 PM Sunday, arriving back at the municipal lot ~7 PM.
Lodging
• Scouts and leaders to stay in Camp William Snyder cabin in Haymarket, VA overnight.
• Parents and siblings can stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Haymarket VA
◦ We have arranged for us to get a discounted group price of $157/room (+tax), which is non-smoking and 2 queen beds.

Details • Transportation will be troop chartered bus. The bus seats 56 total we will extend first choice to scouts and their families. ◦ Scouts will be dropped off at Camp Snyder the bus will then head to the Hilton Garden Inn to drop off all non-scout member of our party • We plan to walk around the mall, so dress warm and bring comfortable footwear! • Pack a bag lunch for Saturday. We will eat as a group when we arrive at the National Museum of American History in their cafeteria • Breakfast and Dinner: scouts will be having breakfast at Camp Snyder on Sunday morning. ◦ Family members who book the Hilton Garden Inn will be provided free continental breakfast from 6AM - 10AM
