John Thiessen Toy Drive – Please Help Us to Help LI underprivileged Youth

Please give if you can. The troop has been been helping this organization for a number of years. John Thiessen was 17 year old boy was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and survived. That was 28 years ago. Inspired by a little girl’s kindness in the hospital, he was inspired to start the first Thiessen Toy Drive. In 1992 to help underprivileged children on Long Island. He has continued hold the drive every year since.

They have been helping Long Islanders with Food Drives during COVID-19. My son Daniel Pelis ran this Toy Drive so it holds a special place in our family. Both we and my sister-in-law donated toys even though the boys are grown up.

As pickup is 9AM TOMORROW, we have until this evening to finish collecting for our Troop. Again, if you can, please donate. And Thank you Of Course!
