SUPPORTING FAMILIES AFFECTED BY HURRICANE FLORENCE!

For many of us the stories from Hurricane Florence bring back memories of Hurricane Sandy! A storm Long Islanders will not forget any time soon! For one of our Scouting Families Hurricane Florence has hit closer to home as it may have for some of you reading this. One of our Scouting families is organizing donations that they will personally deliver to families in North Carolina that have been affected by this storm.

If you would like to help support this effort we ask that you look at the list below and gather what you can. The collection point will be at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp and can be dropped of any time between now and Tuesday evening at 6PM.  We understand that the time frame is short and that for some camp is not around the corner. For those that can support this effort it is appreciated and for those that can’t it is understood. We can all say a prayer for all those who have been affected by this storm that their lives may return to normal as soon as possible!

Water, Pet Food, Baby Formula, Baby food, Diapers, Batteries, Granola bars, Toilet Paper, Paper towels, Wipes, Non perishable food, blankets. These are all good examples of the items that are needed.

Have questions or need help please email James.Grimaldi@Scouting.org or call Jim at 631-356-5152.
